Dr. Emad M. Guirguis, BA, MD, CCFP, FRCSC

Dr. Emad Guirguis was raised in Barrie, Ontario in the 1970's, when its population was 20,000. He determined early in life that his calling was to become a surgeon and return to his hometown. The combination of his keen interest in science and his passion for caring for people confirmed his desire to pursue medicine and surgery.

Dr. Guirguis loves his calling as a general surgeon and looks forward to serving Barrie and the surrounding communities as director and surgeon of Lakeview Surgery Centre.

Joanne Guirguis, Office Manager and Nurse Director

Joanne studied nursing at Fanshawe College in London and McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. After obtaining her nursing credentials, Joanne attended the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, where she obtained her critical care nursing certification. She then studied basic level management at Sheridan College.

Joanne has extensive surgical nursing experience in community and teaching hospitals in Woodstock, Hamilton, and Ottawa. She has been actively involved with Lakeview Surgery Centre's development, ensuring excellence in nursing standards of care.

Joanne is very compassionate and cares deeply for our patients.

Lynne Campbell, Office Administrator

Lynne has been the office administrator for Dr. Guirguis since 2004. Prior to joining our team, Lynne was a freelance and hospital medical transcriptionist for nine years, with clients in North York, Toronto, Orillia, an the Barrie area. Lynne and her family moved to Oro Medonte, Ontario, in 1989.

Lynne derives great job satisfaction from being an integral part of the health care team at Lakeview Surgery Centre, and enjoys facilitating patient care. She is gifted in helping our patients with utmost respect and compassion.
